CONFERENCE AND EXHIBITION “Live Wise: Energy-Efficient Buildings, Development Models”

The Estonian ECO Cluster and the Innovative Building and Living Environment Competence Centre are proud to present a conference-exhibition to be held on 17 March 2011 in the Solaris Centre in Tallinn, “Live Wise: Energy-Efficient Buildings, Development Models”.
The conference’s main themes:
- Passive buildings – not a trademark but a technology.
- The EU Directive – Estonia’s positions 2012.
- Integral living environment, including every individual building.
- Discussion aimed at reaching a consensus on the minimum level at which buildings will be built and renovated in Estonia.
Besides Estonian experts, international experts will also speak at the conference and share their experience in the following areas:
- Austria’s experience in increasing the energy efficiency of buildings, scenarios for 2050, methods and quality assurance.
- Advantages of passive buildings as illustrated by schools, economy and user-friendliness on the basis of the example of the city of Frankfurt.
- Experiences with renovating apartment buildings, recommendations: “renovating renovation”.
An exhibition of the winning entries in the 2010 EU passive building architecture competition will be opened at Solaris Centre in the framework of the conference, along with the exhibition of models of passive buildings.
